Many firsts and Meeting family and friends

We had such a wonderful visit while home in Pennsylvania.  Kate got to experience many things for the first time and to meet so many important people!

There's something about living away from home that makes you realize how much you appreciate certain things about that area.  We love living in central New York, but I definitely miss my family, friends, Wawa, Capriottis and our favorite hiking spots .. Fair Hill and White Clay.  Whenever I come home for a visit, I try to see as many people as possible and do as much as possible.  I loved being able to expose Kate to all that I love.

We took a few hikes at Fair Hill with the dogs, Kate still loves being in the Moby.

We got apple cider donuts and picked out pumpkins at Milburn Orchards with Aunt Becca and her friend Jenn.

We met a lot more family at the wedding, I definitely need to get better about taking pictures.  We can't wait to see everyone again at Thanksgiving next week!

Uncle Harley and Aunt Stephanie's wedding!

At the end of October, we traveled back to PA and DE for my brother's wedding and to visit family and friends.  Kate was fantastic in the car and slept the entire way, both there and back.  We stopped mid-way at a rest stop on 476 to feed her and go to the bathroom, and that was the only break she needed.  I am so relieved that we can successfully make that trip with both dogs and Kate without any issues!

Harley and Stephanie's wedding was perfect in every way.  I am so happy all three of us could be a part of their day.  Their rehearsal dinner fell on Halloween, so they had a costume party!  We were Monster's Inc. characters.

The ceremony was outside under a tree, everything about it was perfect.  The setting was gorgeous and they lucked out with the weather .. 75 and sunny on November 1st!

Unfortunately, I do not have pictures of the reception, or of the incredibly beautiful decorations they did all by themselves.  It was a truly beautiful wedding, and we are so happy to have Stephanie officially a part of our family!

One Month!

I don't know if it is a sign of things to come, but I am a couple weeks late with Kate's 1 month post.  These pictures were even taken at 5 weeks, not one month and she hadn't even had a bath, but hey, it's better than nothing.  We were actually out of town for my brother's wedding for her actual one month day, so I have a little bit of an excuse.

At one month, Kate is about 10 lbs and over 22 inches long and is wearing 3 month clothes.  She has a long torso and fits into some 6month sleepers and pants.  She still has dark brown hair but it has some lighter streaks in it.  Her eyes are still grey but sometimes look a little blue and are a lot lighter than when she was born.  Her eyebrows finally grew in and she has some pretty long eyelashes.  She is a content and happy baby, and continues to smile a lot!  She definitely has a temper though, and gets very impatient when hungry!  She loves to be rocked and jiggled, does not like tummy time and loves to look at any framed picture on the wall.  She is breastfeeding really well, and eats about 8 times a day.  She eats every 3 hours, but has started to stretch that into 4-5 hours at night, and wakes up on average at 10pm, 2am and 6am.  We can't believe how much she has changed in just one month, and are so excited to watch her grow.
